Traffic opening of the Nesselwang - Fuessen A7 Federal Autobahn

Following the ceremonial opening to traffic of the 15 km long Autobahn section Nesselwang - Fuessen on 1st September 2009, the A7 Federal Motorway can now be driven straight through. The A 7 is 963 kilometers long in total and is Germany's longest Autobahn. It extends from the Danish border to the Austrian border and is among the most important north-south connections in Europe. The section between Nesselwang and Fuessen must handle peak loads of up to 35,000 vehicles per day.

In the years 2004 to 2006, the company Raedlinger was significantly involved in the construction of the gap close-off Nesselwang - Fuessen with several individual measures.

Wolfgang Tiefensee, Federal Minister for Traffic, Construction and Urban Development, as well as Joachim Herrmann, Bavarian Minister of State of the Interior, referred in their inaugural addresses to the numerous advantages of the completion of the A7. Not only does this relieve the strain on long-distance traffic, but it also makes a contribution to the leisure time and lifestyle quality for the entire Allgaeu region.
